Alana Williams is a Raleigh-Durham-based home, life, and business organizer.

She is currently available for hire.

What is home, life, and business organizing?

Home organization can be quite a cathartic exercise: putting everything away exactly where it belongs, each individual item in a designated spot that has optimal functionality, no clutter in sight (just don't open the entryway table drawers or peek under the kitchen cabinets).

My Background

I have always enjoyed making spaces flow and become more organized. Over the years as an educator and case manager in mental health I have used those skills to develop spaces and processes that work for me and those in my classroom or on my caseload. However, during the pandemic all three of my sons and I were diagnosed with ADHD and I had to rethink every system I had in my home.  I choose to combine my innate ability and love for organizing with my understanding of neurodiversity (both personally and professionally) to start this business.  I work with neurotypical and neurodivergent clients to organize spaces, helping them feel more at peace in their own homes as well as help create systems that will enable them to reach their life goals. Organizing and systems are not a one time creation, but an evolution over time.

I have a BA in Elementary Education with a focus on Math and Science and a BA in Psychology from UNC Chapel Hill.

I have worked in both the public and private schools in Durham, NC. I transitioned from teacher to case manager to utilize my skills to help families in my community. I have spent the last ten years homeschooling my kids (ages 20, 13, and 6) while being an ESL teacher, tutor and business owner.

SOS Staying Organized Seasonally

Systems only work if they are designed with the individual in mind.

Systems often work for a season and then need to be tweaked or adjusted.  This can be due to changes in personal life, physical abilities or community/societal changes.

“We lived in our old house for nine years, and after all that time, it still didn’t make sense for us. So when we moved to our new house, I decided to get help from the start. Alana looked at our new space and helped it make sense for us. We are a neurodivergent family and she helped find solutions that work for us. If she made a suggestion and I said “that won’t work for me because…,” she would listen and problem solve until we found a solution that makes sense for us. She really was a true joy to work with. After just three months, our new house feels more like home than our old house ever did” -Leah

I’d love to show you how organization can transform your life.
